Local Issues

Some of the issues raised by local residents at the open meetings of the group or by e-mail are listed below.

· Progress of replacement street lighting

· Inconsiderate street parking

· Blocking of peoples drives by lorries delivering to the shops in Bodmin Avenue.

· Illegal parking in Disabled parking bays

· Speeding & noisy cars (see 5 10 Speedwatch page) 5 10

· Condition of pavements

· Maintenance of shrubbery adjacent to shops in Tiverton Avenue

· Improved road crossings for local children;

· Improved communications with community police;

· General area improvements - gardens, park and recreational areas (see local news item)

· Improve knowledge of environmental services

· Lack of facilities for teenagers. Local teenagers were consulted and they said they wanted somewhere to meet & relax without disturbing people.

· Lack of knowledge of services such as the CLARENCE team

Baswich Library

Residents can speak to their local police officers at Baswich library, who will offer advice, support and information about any concerns you have.

There will be drop in sessions and will take place between 10 - 11am.

Everyone is welcome to attend.
