2. Matters Aris= ing From Previous Meeting.

  • The meeting was informed that discussions were underway with SCC and the shop owners in Bodmin Avenue with regard to the flower beds improvements.
  • Councillor Edgeller is to report bac= k to the group about the legal responsibility with regard to the maintenanc= e of the Car Park of the Lynton Tavern.

 

3. Update on sp= eed watch.

 

  • There are four trained volunteers. It was suggested that a page was put on our website giving information ab= out speedwatch and requesting further volunteers.
  • It was proposed by Mike Tyson and seconded by Derek Cliff that the invoice from the Police for £1,= 000 for the training and equipment be paid. This was carried unanimously.<= o:p>
  • A letter is to be sent to the donors when speedwatch is up and running.
  • It was suggested that it may be poss= ible to double up with a proposed Wildwood group that may be set up, in ord= er to obtain more volunteers. This would enable Baswich volunteers to man Wildwood and vice versa, thus reducing the possibility of any adverse reactions from local residents and affording some anonymity for the volunteers.

 

4. Police updat= e.

 

  • PCSO Pete Davies informed the group = that the local schools had been informed about parking on the double yellow lines.
  • A complaint at the AGM about the Stafford Grammar School bus parking in Baswich lane has been dealt with and this is now to cease.

5. Any Other Bu= siness

 

·      The Police were asked if the speed van used at the top of Radford bank could be used halfway down Baswich Lane after finishing at the top of the b= ank.
