Matters Arising from Previous Meeting:
The application for the notice board to be sited by the shops. Joe
Bailey had spoken to the Dept. responsible about our application.
Police Update:
Caroline informed the meeting that the Speed Watch Camera Session had
been very successful
There had been problems with antisocial behavior on Torrington and
Falmouth Avenue and the Yelverton playing field.
Anti social behavior is a problem in the area in general at the mome=
nt.
Cycle Paths:
Heather Lewis gave a talk on the use and lack of use of the cycle pa=
ths
in the area
Playing Fields:
Derek Cliff asked if it was possible to make the playing fields in t=
he
area Alcohol free as he understood that Wildwood Park had been designated
Alcohol free. Caroline informed the meeting that it was a long process but =
may
be possible.
Brian Garrett asked when the allocated monies would be spent on the
Yelverton Park playing field as it was in a very bad state of repair
Young Members or Youth Group Representation:
It was suggested and agreed by the meeting that we should encourage
pupils from Walton High School to join the group or ask them if they would =
like
to do a presentation to the group.
Any Other Business:
The Chairman suggested as the group had now obtained some funding, it
would be fitting that we made a Donation to the school as a contribution
towards the cost of providing a class room for our meeting. This was agreed=
by
all.
