Minutes of Meeting 11^th September 2008

Present:

Kevan Tongue, Derek Cliff, Mike Tyson, Brian Garret, Dorothy Garrett, Joe Bailey, Janet Morgan, Stephen Case, Pat Shaw, Councillor Jack Barber.

Police: Carolyn Higgins.

Apologies: Jackie Moore.

Matters Arising from Previous Meeting:

Derek Cliff stated that his comments were not recorded objecting to monies being spent on playing fields until a drinks ban had been imposed.

Police Update:

Carolyn stated there had been some large disturbances in the area, especially in the Bodmin Lynton Tavern area, and problems with the bus shelter in Bodmin Avenue.

Alcohol prohibition for playing fields approved by police.

Anti social behavior by kids on motorbikes is a particular problem at the moment.

Special police force is to hit the problem in the near future.

AGM:

To be held on 9^th October in Leasowes school hall.

Treasurer:

Balance of account is £2894.62

Any Other Business:

Jo Bailey has got permission to have temporary notice board in Baswich library. Details of AGM to be on this.

Lynton Tavern car park to be resurfaced in next few days.
