Minutes of Meeting 13^th November 2008

Present:

Matters Arising from Previous Meeting:

Thanks to Joe and Kevan for display in library and to all members for their efforts at the AGM.

Welcome to new members Rachel Sunderland, Val Douglas, and Sally Macintyre.

Police Update:

Operation cauldron carried out over Halloween and bonfire period. Only 10% of calls compared to last year.

24^th Oct – operation cruise – vehicles targeted re speed/mobiles/seat belts. Several on Porlock Ave apprehended.

11^th Nov – reports re groups representing TalkTalk not presenting credentials.

2 detached youth workers from Wildwood gateway centre working closely with police.

21^st Oct – criminal damage reported to car in Bodmin.

AGM feedback:

Comments made about press headlines following AGM.

Poor turnout, perhaps because fewer problems in the area due to increased police presence.

Treasurer:

Balance of account is £2872.84

Any Other Business:

Group to approach 2 youth workers from Gateway to see if they will cone to a committee meeting.

Jackie Moore sent round a letter she had sent to the bad behavior manager at Walton High school re pupil behavior, together with a reply from the school.

Sue Francis to ring Jack Barber to remind him about removing the bus shelter in Bodmin.

Wendy Hall re open space/sports/recreation report – small group or chair to look at responding before year end.

Parking on Baswich Crest causing a problem.
